Margaret Joyce “Maggie” Troyer, 62, of Walnut Creek, went home to be with her eternal Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home.
She was born October 23, 1956 in Bourne, Massachusetts to the late Grayson Hix Johnson, Jr. and Doris Geraldine Johnson Pratt and married Rev. Richard Troyer on July 28, 1984 and he survives.
She lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1987, while she and her husband attended Fort Wayne Bible College. She was an executive assistant at Missionary Church USA in Fort Wayne for many years. Upon moving back to the area, she attended Countryside Chapel near Sugarcreek.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Charles J. Troyer of Woodburn, Indiana; her former daughter-in-law, Maegan Gonzales of Fort Wayne, Indiana; father-in-law, David D. “Dappling” Troyer of Walnut Creek; two grandchildren, Connar L. Troyer and Madison F. Troyer; and her siblings, Cindy Andress of North Carolina, Marty (Richelle)Johnson of St. Cloud, Florida and John Leslie of Boston, MA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Grayson Hix Johnson III and infant sister Catherine Johnson.
Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Branch Church at Countryside Chapel 2236 SR 93, Baltic, Ohio 43804 with Pastor Travis Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home, 115 Andreas Drive, Sugarcreek, Ohio 44681 and Friday 10-11 AM at the church prior to services. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Woodburn Missionary Church 5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, Indiana 46797
