Marvin Jay Hershberger 37 of Fresno died Monday, April 2, 2018 at Coshocton Memorial Hospital following an unexpected illness. He was born on August 12, 1980 to Valentine and Sara (Yoder) Hershberger of Dundee. He worked for Walnut Creek Foods and attended New Pointe Community Church faithfully. He enjoyed his job as a semi driver, being in the outdoors and walking the fields looking for arrowheads.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lou Troyer whom he married on July 28, 2007; his three sons Mason 9, Micah 5, and Myles 2, his parents Valentine and Sara Hershberger, 5 brothers Abe (Ruth) of Fresno, Alvin (Emma), Michael (Arlene) Dwayne (Elsie) and Jacob (Rita) all of Dundee, 3 sisters Naomi (Myron) Troyer of Coshocton, Cora (Josh) Miller of Walnut Creek, and Amanda (Jonathan) Yoder of Dundee, 6 nieces, 12 nephews and his father-in-law and mother-in-law David Lee and Betty Troyer of Millersburg. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Marvin Troyer.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at New Pointe Community Church in Dover with Pastors Dwight Mason and Ben Raber officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday 5-8 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM all at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
