Mary Ann “Peg” Mossgrove, 85, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Claymont Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville. Born April 21, 1932 in Dennison, she was the last surviving child of the late Guy Preston and Grace Amanda (Donahey) Sponseller, having been preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Grant and Robert Sponseller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mossgrove, and son, Mike Pedrotty.
Peg was retired from the Timken Co. and had previously been employed by the former Scio Pottery. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her daughters, Janet (companion, Carl Smith) Hurst and Jill Ann (companion, Edgar Rodriguez) Pedrotty; grandchildren, Angie Sarver, Tammy (Eric) Durbin, Craig (Tina) Birch, Todd (Paula) Birch, Lori (Joe) Mahaney, Santos, Pablo and Aracelli Mendez, and Johnathon Sylvester; many great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service, officiated by Nick Sponseller, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. She will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery with her parents.
