Minister Amos M. Yoder – May 27, 2017

Minister Amos M. Yoder 96 of 4728 CR 19 Millersburg died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 25, 1921 in Holmes County to the late Mose and Catherine (Miller) Yoder.  He was a retired farmer, a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was ordained Minister on October 8, 1971.

He was married to the former Amanda M. Troyer on December 20, 1945 and she died February 16, 2016.  He is survived by his children Menno (Fannie) Yoder and Mary Yoder both of the home, Jonas (Ella) Yoder of Baltic, Mose (Anna) Yoder, Melvin (Edna) Yoder and Malinda (Eli) Miller all of Millersburg, Monroe (Mattie) Yoder Fresno, David (Fannie) Yoder of Millersburg, Atlee (Emma) Yoder of Baltic, Henry (Elsie) Yoder of Millersburg, and Anna (Junior) Barkman of Fresno, son-in-law Albert (Lydia) Yoder of Millersburg, 38 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 2 in-laws Noah Yoder and Mrs. Dave (Mary Ann) Yoder. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his daughter Mattie, a grandson, 2 great grandchildren, 6 brothers Neal, Christ, Eli, Mose, David and Jonas and 4 sisters Lizzie, Sarah, Mary and Susan.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Yoder Residence with Minister Mose V. Hershberger officiating.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in Clark Twp., Holmes County.  Friends may call anytime Monday at the residence.  Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
