Mary Alice Reporting: (Dover, Ohio) A driver in a two-vehicle crash that caused traffic to move slowly for over an hour received a citation.

Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon just before 3:30pm for an accident on Interstate 77 southbound, just before Schneider’s Crossing in Dover.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Travis Adkins explains that the crash occurred over possible road rage when a left lane pick-up truck went into the right lane.

“It was a Ford F-150 that was in the left lane and there was a Chevy Colorado in the right lane. The Ford actually came into the right lane, striking the Chevy. The Ford continued off on the right side of the road striking a guardrail and overturning.”

The driver’s sustained minor injuries in the accident that closed both southbound lanes along I-77, causing traffic to back up pass Strasburg.

Trooper Adkins notes that the at-fault driver was cited for a marked lanes violation.
