Miriam T. Andreatta, 88, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born March 3, 1929 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Byron Berl and Edna Alice (Gardner) Jones. In addition to her parents, her brother, Byron Jones, Jr., preceded her in death.
On November 21, 1953, she married Gene R. Andreatta who survives her along with children, Debra (Jamey) Bryan, Scott (Carol) Andreatta, Susan (Gerald) Latanich, and Steven (Lori) Andreatta; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Julie, Tyler, Travis, Matthew, Andrew, and Nicholas; step-grandchildren, Matthew, Bonnie, Paul, Natalie, Kristen, John, and Patrick; and great-grandchildren, Abie, Arielle, Kendall, and Thomas.
Miriam was a lifelong area resident and a 1947 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. She worked at United Bank in Uhrichsville from 1947 to 1956, and later was employed by Flex Plastics and FabOhio. Along with her husband, she was an avid traveler who enjoyed spending autumns in Hawaii for 13 years, as well as 7 trips to Europe. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison.
Father Tyron Tomson will celebrate the funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 8, at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church. Miriam will be interred in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Tuesday at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
