Moses A. Schlabach, 94, of 5028 TR 351 Millersburg died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born March 17, 1924 in Tuscarawas County to the late Andrew C.C. and Emma (Kaufman) Schlabach.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He married Freda Troyer on November 23, 1950 and she died on June 22, 1996. He then married Anna Yoder on November 18, 1999, who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Katie (Jonas) Raber of Millersburg, Edward Schlabach of unknown address, Bena (Steven) Yoder of Applecreek, Paul (Wilma) Schlabach of Millersburg, Emma (Wayne) Yoder of Burbon, IN, Reuben (Sara Etta) Schlabach of the home, Ruth (Pete Jr.) Miller of Millersburg and Roy (Brenda) Schlabach of Shipshewana, IN, 44 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, his sister Bena (Lloyd) Miller of Sugarcreek, brother Atlee Schlabach of Sarasota, Florida and a sister-in-law Elsie Schlabach of Berlin. In addition to his parents and first wife, he is preceded in death by a grandson Edward Raber, a great great stillborn grandson, brothers Henry, Ralph, Owen, and Andy and his sister Mary Nisley.
Services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Schlabach Residence with Minister Daniel E. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in Berlin Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime after 2 PM on Friday at the Schlabach Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
