(Wednesday, June 4th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – An annual festival kicks-off on Independence Day with everyday fun continuing until Sunday.
The Frist Town Days Festival’s midway opens at Noon July 4th for Family Day.
Event Co-Chair Joe Croft says family events include a fishing derby, parent/child sack races, and big wheel races.
The festival continues on Thursday for Senior’s Day and then goes into Friday, July 6th for the annual parade at 6:30pm.
“It’s on 3rd Street to High Street, and down High to the court square, and then up from the courthouse up to Tuscora Park, and it’s always just a great parade.”
Saturday features the City of New Philadelphia fireworks display at 10pm. Croft points out that over the five days, a lot of musical talent will be featured, including Stadium 11, a Journey Tribute band out of Columbus, on July 7th from 8pm to 11pm.
Saturday will also showcase the Amateur talent show at 2pm and the classic car show at the practice field from 3pm to 5:30pm.
