Mary Alice Reporting:
An open house for a new fire station is set for this summer.
New Philadelphia Fire Chief Jim Parrish confirmed that multiple trades continue to work inside the building.
He noted several areas in mind throughout construction including efficiency, health, and education.
Parrish added that it will take firefighters about three days to move into the new station, considering the staff will be moving in between emergency calls.
The expected open house has been set for Saturday, June 24th.
