(Thursday, December 27, 2018) Newcomerstown, Ohio – The Village of Newcomerstown will implement a new telephone alert system beginning in January of 2019. Mayor Pat Cadle says the community announcement phone call system will alert citizens and businesses of important events taking place within the community.

“You’re always trying to find ways that you can get as many people the messages that you can. Whether it is a water main break like we had last year that affected the whole town when we do leaf raking or leaf pick-up that you can notify as many people as possible.”

Mayor Cadle said that notifications can be received many ways.

“You have three ways you can be contacted. You can get a phone call, you can get a text message or you can get an email, or you can pick all three if you want.  You can put up to two separate numbers on there because we realize people have separate cell phones now. They can go online, our new website is just up and it has a direct link to the registration page.”

Residents are urged to contact Erica Gress at the Mayor’s Office at (740-498-6313) or by emailing her at egress@newcomerstownoh.com.
