Northeast Ohio Gas Prices Rise, Statewide Average Drops

(August 8th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – Gas prices in Northeast Ohio are up slightly at a penny higher this week to $2.28 per gallon.

According to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report, the statewide average is down seven cents.

The latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) report shows Midwest gasoline inventories dropped 1.2 million barrels to 51.6 million last week.  The current inventory levels are in pace with this same period last year and are about 2 million barrels above the five-year average.

The average price at the pump in the New Philadelphia area today is $2.28.
