Mary Alice Reporting – The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association is asking the public to provide information about areas where transportation needs improvements.

The meeting will be at the Dover City Council Chamber on October 1st at 6pm.

Transportation Director Kevin Buettner explains the purpose is to better community with citizens about current projects, as well as update OMEGA’s long-range and 5-year transportation plans.

“What are the transportation needs in different communities in Tuscarawas County? Are there areas where we might want to add a buggy lane? Are there areas where we want to connect bike paths? Are there other roads, [like] dangerous intersections?”

The association’s region includes Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas Counties.

Residents who are unable to make the October 1st meeting can take a survey at www.omegadistric.org. Dates and times of other planned meetings can also be found on their website.
