Lawrence S. “Larry” Hennis, 58, of Mineral City, died Thursday Dec. 8, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton. Born October 17, 1953 in Canton he was a son Leona (Fortune) Hennis of Canton and the late John Hennis.|
He was a 1972 graduate of Canton South High School and retired in Feb. of 2010 from the Timken Company at Canton after 30 years. He was very devoted to his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife the former Kathy Billings whom he married August 8, 1998. Also surviving are his children Mark (Shannon) Hennis of Pleasant Garden, N.C., Kim Hennis of Bolivar, Dawn Hennis of Massillon, Chris Rouse of Canton and Erin and Amy Young both of the home and 9 grandchildren; a brother John Hennis of North Canton and 3 sisters Juanita Woods of Canton, Sue Starling of Canton and Kathy Hennis of Canton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 10, 2011at 11:00 AM in the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home at 248 Park Ave. Bolivar, Ohio. Pastor Jeff Caldwell will officiate and burial will follow in Fort Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tusky Valley Music Boosters c/o Tusky Valley High School at 2637 Tusky Valley Rd. Zoarville, Ohio 44656.
