Erma Hershberger, 80, of 4158 SR 62 Millersburg died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 6:00 AM in her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born November 13, 1931 in Holmes County to the late Andrew P. and Lovina (Gingerich) Weaver.
On March 2, 1950 she married Joe D. Hershberger who died on November 5, 2011. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by her children Anna Yoder, Sara (Andrew) Miller both of Millersburg, Mary (Harry) Miller of the Home, Erma (Mose) Raber of Millersburg, and Esther (Melvin) Miller of Fredericksburg, 35 grandchildren, 1 foster granddaughter, 97 great grandchildren, a step brother David Schlabach of Wisconsin,, and a step sister Erma Miller of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Fannie J. Hershberger, son-in-law Abe Yoder, 4 great grandchildren, 6 brothers, 5 sisters, 2 step mothers, 2 step brothers and 4 step sisters.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 9:00 AM at the Hershberger Residence with Bishop Atlee Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Hershberger Cemetery in Berlin Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
