May 14 Heart Health Screening
The Union Hospital Community Health and Wellness Department will bring blood pressure, total cholesterol and blood sugar checks to Mineral City Senior Center at 4846 Station Street in Mineral City on Tuesday May 14th from 9-11 a.m. The screening is free and no appointment is necessary. Participants do not need to fast prior to the finger stick blood test. For more information call the Department of Community Health and Wellness at Union Hospital at 330-602-0779.
May 15 Blood Pressure and Cholesterol
Union Hospital will conduct a blood pressure screening at Dover Buehlers on May 15th from 7;30-11 a.m. Participants can have their blood pressure measured and receive health information at this screening free of charge. At the same time you have the opportunity to have an instant lipid panel analysis. The panel includes LDL, HDL, triglycerides and a total cholesterol. This is a finger stick test, 12 hours of fasting is recommended for accurate results. An appointment is required for the lipid panel and can be made by calling Union Hospital at 330-602-0778 or by registering online at www.unionhospital.org
May 26 Dog Walk
The Tuscarawas Valley Kennel Club is hosting a “Happy Tails” dog walk on May 26th at 4:30. The walk is on the towpath beginning at Ft. Laurens in Bolivar.
