A Newcomerstown woman remains hospitalized after a weekend crash in York Township.
 
Troopers with the New Philadelphia Post of the State Highway Patrol say 41-year-old Lori A. Yoder was traveling south on Stonecreek Road, shortly after 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, when her car struck a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Jared M. Beitzel of New Philadelphia.
 
Troopers say Beitzel was allegedly attempting to enter the roadway from a private drive when the crash occurred.
 
Yoder was transported to Akron General Hospital by helicopter and reportedly remains in serious condition.
 
Beitzel and a passenger, 18-year old Emily M. Lappin of New Philadelphia, were treated and released with minor injuries at area hospitals.
 
Beitzel is being cited for failure to yield the right of way, operating a vehicle under the influence and child endangering.
