Taking a new approach to fuel bidding for the city has proved to be a cost-saving move for Uhrichsville.
 
Mayor Terry Culbertson says Uhrichsville traditionally conducted its own fuel bidding but decided this year to take part in the process with the county.
 

 
Culbertson says the city receives weekly reports on fuel prices through the county. He notes that, while the cost of gasoline in the area does see some fluctuation, prices have been going down.
 

 
With the money saved as a result of the new approach, Culbertson says he intends to continue the endeavor.
