A new human resources position for New Philadelphia could clear up a lot of issues.
 
The city is currently in the early stages of considering whether or not to add the new position to its current administration.
 
Mayor Mike Taylor says he has been an advocate for such a position for years.
 

 
Taylor, who maintains some human resource knowledge from his private business background, says hiring a human resource officer would allow someone to devote their focus to the issues involved with the position.

 
 
Taylor notes that, to the best of his knowledge, no one has ever held a human resources title for the city. He adds that the position could also assist the city in regards to various contracts.
 

 
To find the right person for the job, Taylor says there is a process involved.
 

 
Finally, Taylor says he estimates the salary for the full-time position to start at $50,000 on up and adds that he feels the job would be an administrative position that reports to the mayor.
