A substance abuse awareness and rehabilitation program is being held this Wednesday at the Tuscarawas County Public Library.
Captain Orvis Campbell, with the Tuscarawas County Sheriffs Office, says the program is being offered to help educate the community about local drug abuse.
Campbell says those who attend the program will learn how to recognize the warning signs associated with someone who may have a drug problem.
Campbell says the current drug problem in the county has a direct effect on crime.
Campbell says it’s important for everyone to understand the effects of drug abuse on the entire family.
Campbell says Sheriff Walt Wilson, Co-Chair of the Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition and Brian Kress, ADAMHS Board and Anti-Drug Coalition member, will also be on hand for the program.
Above all, Campbell says it’s important for everyone to know that help is available for those dealing with or with the effects of drug abuse.
Again, the program is being held Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the Tuscarawas County Public Library.
