Information and Education Specialist Greg Smith with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife says conditions are right to spark a wildfire.
Smith says the unusually dry conditions may have caught some people off guard.
Smith is asking residents to postpone outdoor burning during the daytime hours until the area gets some much needed rain and greens up a bit.
He says there are some measures residents can take if they do decide to burn outdoors.
Smith says you’d be surprised by how quickly a fire can spread.
