Even though the start of school is a month or two away, the New Philadelphia City Health Department is reminding parents and caregivers to plan ahead when it comes to immunizations.
 
Health Commissioner Vickie Ionno says vaccinations are currently available to anyone living in Tuscarawas County.
 
            
 
Ionno says it’s a good idea to make sure your child is up-to-date on necessary vaccinations before returning to school this fall.
 
            
 
Ionno says the department can assist parents and guardians in determining what vaccinations are needed and or required.
 
            
 
Ionno says some vaccination requirements have changed over the years.
