Tuscarawas County Metropolitan Water and Sewer District union employees are working under terms of new agreement. 
 
Department Director Charles Regula says the new 3-year contract is retroactive to January 1, 2012 and includes a 1 1/2 percent wage increase each year of the deal.
 

 
Union employees have been working without a contract since their old agreement expired in September 2010.
 
Regula says the new deal also includes a few minor changes, including the addition of some education benefits.
 

 
Regula says the contract covers 17 workers ranging from operators and engineering technicians to billing and accounting clerks and maintenance workers and runs through December 31, 2014.
