East Holmes Reacts to Latest Scores, Prepares for Levy
Paula Wilcoxon Reporting
The East Holmes Local School District is on track to earning another “Excellent with Distinction” designation from the state.
Superintendent Joe Edinger says a review of preliminary test scores show the district lagging slightly in one subject area.
Edinger says historically, every district in the state has performed poorly on the fifth grade math section.
Official results aren’t expected to be released until later this summer. Edinger says as it stands now, the district very well may earn the highest ranking possible by the Ohio Department of Education.
On a similar note, Edinger says the district is gearing up for the August 7th levy campaign.
The district is seeking passage of a 3.77 mills emergency operating levy. The issue will generate $1.5 million annually for five years.
