The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route 520 near Township Road 54.
 
Sheriff Tim Zimmerly says Charles P. Rush, 56, of 5188 Donner Road, Clinton, Ohio was pronounced dead Friday afternoon at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg.
 
Zimmerly says Rush along with two other riders were traveling on State Route 520 when Rush apparently lost control of his 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle on a sharp curve.
 
According to witnesses, Rush was thrown over the motorcycle and onto the pavement after the bike dropped onto its right side. 
 
Zimmerly says speed is considered to be a contributing factor and possibly alcohol as Rush had reportedly been drinking prior to the wreck. 
 
This is the fourth fatal crash in Holmes County this year and the first one involving a motorcycle.
