One New Philadelphia councilman believes projection reports on the city finances could help plan for the future.
 
Councilman and Salary Committee Chair John Zucal says he suggested the creation of a financial projection report to possibly help shed some light on what is to come.
 

 
Zucal says with the consideration of projects like a new fire station, the West High Avenue widening project, and the creation of a new human resource officer, its better to be proactive.
 

 
Although the projection could be a fluid document, Zucal notes that the power could derive from mere discussions.
 

 
While council has received general fund forecasts in the past, Zucal says he wants to look at the bigger picture.


 
Zucal says the projection report could prove to be a tool that allows council to make optimal use of its money for both the city and its residents.
