A new assistant principal will be roaming the halls of New Philadelphia High School this fall.
 
The Board of Education voted Monday to hire David Lautenschleger as the new assistant principal at the high school.
 
Superintendent Bob Alsept says Lautenschleger has a great deal of experience in education.
 
            
 
Alsept says the position became available after the recent retirement of athletic director Tom Farbizo.
 
            
 
Lautenschleger was hired under terms of a three-year contract at $73,318.
