New Philadelphia Police are continuing to investigate an early Monday morning robbery.
Police say they received reports of a robbery at the Circle K on Tuscarawas Avenue around 1 o’clock.
According to reports, two teens, wearing bandannas, demanded cash and cigarettes and fled the scene.
The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s K-9 unit was called in to assist with the investigation and was able to track down the suspects to a nearby home on Seventh Street, where the pair was subsequently arrested.
According to reports, stolen cigarettes and a black bandanna were also located in the backyard of the residence.
Once a final report is complete, it is expected to be sent to the Tuscarawas County Prosecutor’s Office for further review.
