Karen Sue Ward, 49, of Dover died Monday evening, July 30, 2012 in Union Hospital at Dover following a sudden and unexpected illness.
Born February 17, 1963 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. Jr. and Johnnie K. (Orr) Klett.
Karen provided Day Care services out of her home.
She was a 1981 graduate of Strasburg Franklin High School. She devoted her life to her family. Christmas was her favorite time of year and enjoyed celebrating theTwelve Days of Christmas with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her family including her husband, Bob Ward with whom she celebrated 21 years of marriage on April 27; two children, Kara and Bo both of the home; three sisters, Debbie (Rick) Kaiser of Dover, Donna (Craig) Hazel of Apple Creek, and Diana (Paul) Truchly of Dover along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, John W. and Mary F. Ward.
Robert Fountain will officiate a celebration of Karen’s life on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at 1pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with a reception to follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center inDover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-3pm and 5-8pm. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery at Strasburg.
