On June 7, 1991, she married Burrell C. Gibson who survives her at their home. She is also survived by a daughter, Theresa Gill of St. Louis, Illinois; a son, Robert Creamer of New Philadelphia; stepsons, Burrell C. Gibson, Jr. of Midvale and James Michael “Mike” Gibson of Tuscarawas; stepdaughter, Ann Gibson-Miller of Uhrichsville; a sister, Pina Louise Meek of New Philadelphia; fourteen grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew.
A resident of Midvale since 1991, she attended Midvale United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who especially cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren. She had worked for several businesses, the most recent having been Case Farms until her retirement.
In keeping with Cathleen’s wishes, no public visitation is planned. A graveside service officiated by Pastor Lyle Warren will be held on Friday, August 10, at 11:00 a.m. in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather for a covered-dish meal and celebration of her life at the Midvale Park Pavilion. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
