Catherine “Kay” Wolf, 71, of Bolivar, passed away Thursday August 9, 2012 at 2:25 AM in her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Born July 9, 1941 in Canton, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Bob and Marie (Selway) Kahler.
Kay attended the original Zoar Schoolhouse and Tuscarawas Valley High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed decorating cakes and cookies.
She is survived by her husband Davy Joe Wolf whom she married September 4, 1957. Also surviving are 4 sons Rick of Pinopolis, S.C. , Allen (Becky) of Uhrichsville, Jim of Bolivar and Doug (Jackie) of Bolivar; 9 grandchildren Kaley, Kurt, Kasie, Josh, Jarrod, Lanie, Nolan, Aly and Arvie and 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister in law Bob (Gin) Kahler and Tom (Sue) Kahler of Bolivar and Suzanne (Jack) Nemetz of Dover.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Community Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County at 716 Commercial Ave. S.W. New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home at 248 Park Ave. Bolivar, Ohio. Deacon Larry Gray will officiate and burial will follow in Fort Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
