He was a retired farmer and woodworker and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married November 20, 1947 to the former Emma R. Yoder who died August 5, 2012.
He is survived by his four sons and seven daughters; Mary (John Henry) Beechy of Millersburg, Mose (Edna) Mast of Fresno, Jonas (Lizzie) Mast of Millersburg, Fannie (Dan) Troyer of Baltic, Susie (Levi Jr.) Yoder of Baltic, Sarah (Leroy) Yoder of Baltic, Katie Ann (Raymond) Yoder of Fresno, Roman (Susan) Mast of the home, Vernon (Anna) Mast of Leroy, Michigan, Ada (Junior) Yoder of Millersburg, Emma Mae (Andrew) Yoder of Baltic, 74 grandchildren, 147 great grandchildren, six sisters Susie (Joe D.) Yoder of Baltic, Malinda (Emanuel) Yoder of Knox Co., Lizzie Ann (Sam) Barkman of Danville, Edna (Joe) Miller of Millersburg, Sarah (Mose) Hershberger of Baltic, and Ada (John) Raber of Lakeville.
In addition to his parents and his wife he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, a sister, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 9:00 AM at the Mast residence with Bishop Aden N. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Barkman Cemetery in Crawford Twp., Coshocton County. Friends may call anytime at the Mast residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
