The Huntington District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is holding office hours Wednesday to inform residents of Zoar about the progress of the Zoar Levee and Diversion Dam Safety Modification Study and address their questions and concerns.
 
The office hours are being held at the Dover Dam Engineer’s Office, adjacent to the Dover Dam and Muskingum Area Office on State Route 800 Northeast in Dover from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm and again from 7 pm until 8:30 pm.
 
As a result of the Water Resources Development Act of 2007, the Corps is now conducting a Dam Safety Modification Study that will seek to identify and recommend a management plan for Zoar Levee and Diversion Dam that will provide the most effective reduction of risk to the public.
