Fire Damages New Philadelphia Home

No one was injured during a Thursday afternoon fire.

New Philadelphia Firefighters say they were called to a vacant home located at 319 Park Avenue Northwest shortly before 4 o’clock.

Firefighters say they were able to contain the fire to the front porch of the home and say it appears some remodeling materials on the porch spontaneously combusted and sparked the blaze.

The home is reportedly owned by Mike Smith.

Damages are estimated at around $1,500.
