Trail Meeting Slated for Monday

A public meeting is being held Monday to discuss the Atwood Trail Plan.

Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Development Coordinator Nick Lautzenheiser says the purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on the plan and gain input from the general public.

He says the plan is being funded through a grant from the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation, Inc.

Lautzenheiser says it’s important to receive public input about the plan.

Lautzenheiser says the meeting is being held in Dellroy at the Community Fire Station on North Ohio Street.

Lautzenheiser says trail and greenway planning experts from the Environmental Design Group will be joined at the meeting by Dan Rice, Executive Director of the Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition.

The MWCF is a publicly supported charitable organization initially organized in 1996 that is dedicated to supporting the mission of the MWCD.

While the MWCF is completely independent from the MWCD, with its own Board of Trustees, it has developed charitable funds that support improvements and programs on and around MWCD facilities.

Again, the meeting is being held Monday at Dellroy at the Community Fire Station at 7 pm.
