A Grand Jury has indicted a Canton man on misdemeanor charges of vehicular manslaughter.
Thirty-year-old Richard A Schreckengost Junior allegedly struck twenty-nine-year old Heather Smith of Uhrichsville with his SUV on July 7th while traveling east on U.S. Route 62.
Smith was reportedly walking from the Stark County Jail at the time of the incident.
The case is expected to return to Municipal Court.
The maximum penalty for vehicular manslaughter is 90 days behind bars.
