Local Library Goes From the Farm to the Football Field

The Dover Public Library will be bustling this weekend.

The library is hosting a program entitled “Coming Home to Eat” on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Director Jim Gill says the inspiration for the program came from the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market.

Gill says featured speaker Joel Kurtz of Wholesome Valley Farm in Wilmot will talk about stainable farming.

Then at 11 a.m, The Friends of the Dover Public Library will sponsor its 4th annual Tailgate Party.

Gill says this free event began in 2009 during the One Book, One Community project.

Gill says every year the event is a little different from the year before.

Saturday’s Tailgate Party runs until 1 p.m.

For more information about the Tailgate Party or to register for the “Coming Home to Eat” program, you can call the library at 330-343-6123 or log on to www.doverlibrary.org.
