Village Seeks Voter Approval of New Cemetery Levy

The Village of Newcomerstown is asking residents to approve a November ballot issue.

Mayor Jim Friel says a 1.5-mill levy for the maintenance and operation of village cemeteries is set to appear on the fall ballot.

Jim Friel says additional dollars are needed to help offset the costs of cemetery expenses.

If approved, levy funding would commence in 2013 and come due in 2014.
