The tax is already being collected and has been used to pay down the debt on construction of the wastewater treatment plant.
The village would now like to see the $390,000 that the tax generates annually redirected to the general fund to be used for street repairs, among other things.
Mayor Clayton Weller says the meetings will hopefully provide residents with a better understanding of the need for the tax.
Meetings have been scheduled for October 11th and October 29th at village hall.
Meanwhile, village council recently approved changes in the Zoning Code dealing with swimming pools and fences.
Weller says the changes address safety and other issues.
