After graduating from Claymont High School in 1966, Linda furthered her education at a nursing school in Canton, obtaining her L.P.N. certification in preparation for her lifelong career in area nursing homes. She worked for the former Valley Manor/Morning View Nursing Home for a number of years before being employed by the West Lafayette Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center until her retirement at age sixty-two. She was a member of the Tuscora Stamp Club and loved doing crafts in her spare time. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Tuscarawas County Fair where she, along with her husband, supervised the vegetable building for many years, continuing even after his death. She also entered many of her homemade goods and handmade crafts for judging at the fair.
Married on June 19, 1966, Linda was the loving wife of Willard B. Rainsberg who preceded her in death in 2005. They are survived by four children, Marjorie (Kip) Hursey of Newcomerstown, John (Darla) Rainsberg of Columbus, Willard “Allen” (Charlotte) Rainsberg of Uhrichsville and Dorothy “Dottie” Rainsberg of Newcomerstown; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her brother- and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Rainsberg of Dennison; aunt, Norma Jean Wolff of El Paso, Texas; special cousin, Edie Stafford of Alabama; and her companion, James Wilson of Strasburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a dear aunt, Ruth Serrato.
