The department will host its open house Wednesday, October 10th from 6pm to 8pm at the Dover Fire Station, located at 110 East Third Street in the city.
Firefighter Randy Jones says the evening will feature several demonstrations.
Jones says the event takes approximately four to six months to plan and is a great opportunity to familiarize children with the department.
Overall, Jones says the open house is a nice community event.
