Betty J. Fisher



Betty J. Fisher, 80, of Simons Drive Sugarcreek died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.  She was born August 30, 1932 in Dundee to the late Glen and Prudence (Kaufman) Hostetler. 

She retired in 1996 from the former Owens-Illinois Co. in Berlin and she was a member of the Dover-New Philadelphia Bowlers Hall of Fame. 

She is survived by her husband Glen C. Fisher whom she married on January 30, 1950; her children Sue (Kenny) Stein of Dundee, Pat (Bill) Dettmer of Millersburg, Peggy Troyer (John Ladrach) of Dover, and Clayton (Nancy) Fisher of New Philadelphia., 9 grandchildren Ben (Dorothea) Stein, Rachel (Corey Collier) Stein, Sheri Miller, Tim (Carie) Miller, Clint (Lisa) Troyer, Emily (L.W.) Beckley, Nathan (Amber) Fisher, Garrett (Kate Wright) Fisher, Sara (Josh Roach) Fisher and 8 great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Beulah “Snooks” Rentsch. 
Services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Dundee United Methodist Church with Pastor Ray Garvin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dundee Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday 5-8 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.  Memorials may be made to any local Animal Shelter in remembrance of Betty.
