The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash.
Troopers say killed in the wreck was 50-year old Willard R. Wigfield III of Port Washington who was driving an SUV southbound on I-77 just north of Stone Creek when he lost control about 1 a.m. on Sunday, October 21st. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof in a grass median.
A passenger, 72-year old Willard R. Wigfield, Jr. of Port Washington was flown by helicopter to Akron General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
A second passenger, 47-year old Dwayne A. Wigfield also of Port Washington was taken to Union Hospital for treatment.
Troopers say the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
