Moses S. Miller

Moses S. Miller, 93, of 1914 CR 144 Sugarcreek died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born June 24, 1919 in Holmes County to the late Sam M. and Mary (Beachy) Miller.

He was a farmer and a member of the Amish Church. He was married October 31, 1946 to the former Niva Kaufman who preceded him on January 14, 1996.

He is survived by his daughter Laura (Abe) Mast of Charm, son Reuben (Esther) Miller of Sugarcreek, four grandchildren Charles (Jessica) Miller, Abigail Miller, Frederick Miller and Clayton Miller, one great granddaughter Jahvonnna Miller, 5 step grandchildren SaraAnn (Ivan) Miller, Naomi (Paul) Miller, Leon (Lois) Mast, Dorothy (Marvin) Raber, and Carol (Ivan) Chupp, 8 step great grandchildren, his sister Barbara (Henry) Schrock of Sugarcreek and step sister Mattie Raber of Charm.

In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by 3 brothers Nelson, Noah, and Henry, his step mother Barbara, step sister Sarah Shetler and step brother Edward Schlabach.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 9:00 AM at the Miller residence with Bishop Roy E. Mast officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in Walnut Creek Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Miller residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
