Seniors Saluted as Rivalry Week Begins

Rivalry Week for the Dover Tornadoes and New Philadelphia Quakers has officially begun.

The senior players, band members, trainers, QTs and cheerleaders were recognized on Monday (October 22nd) night at Buckeye Career Center during the 50th annual Dover/New Philadelphia Rotary Sportsmanship Banquet.

Doug McIntire of the New Philadelphia Rotary is pleased with how the banquet has evolved over the years.

Dover High School head football coach Dan Ifft recognizes that this annual event helps put into perspective what the rivalry is all about.

New Philadelphia High School head football coach Matt Dennison agrees that this is a well-deserved event for the students as they approach the end of their high school experience.

The 109th edition of the Dover-New Philadelphia rivalry football game will held on Friday (October 26th) at 7:00pm at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.
