One Uhrichsville council member is expressing concerns with the Twin City Water and Sewer District Board.
The board recently announced a proposed rate increase, starting in January 2013, of $4.75 per month for residents to help ease the cost of loans for several water and sewer district projects. But Councilman Mark Haney says residents are beginning to speak out.

Haney says rates have been on the increase for the past several years.
Haney says one issue is the fact that the board does not need to seek voter approval when considering a rate increase.
Haney says he would like to see representatives from the board present to council their infrastructure plans and clarify aspects of certain projects for the district.
