Members of the American Red Cross along with the Uhrichsville Mayor’s office and the Uhrichsville Fire Department will hold a Fire Safety Walk on Saturday (October 27th).
Chad Conrad, Executive Director for the Muskingum Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross, says the purpose of the walk is to make certain that peoples’ homes are protected from the potential for home fires.
Conrad says if anyone in the homes they visit doesn’t have a smoke detector, he’ll give them one. He says another of the reasons for this Fire Safety Walk is to give people information.
Conrad says not to worry if someone isn’t at home at time of their visit.
The Fire Safety Walk will take place on Saturday (October 27th) from 10:00am to 12 noon in the Uhrichsville neighborhoods along the streets of Packer, McConnell and Wardell.
