The high wind warning for Tuscarawas County has been canceled.
Due to the winds quickly diminishing this morning, the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has discontinued the high wind warning. However, wind gusts of up to 30 mph are still possible through the noon hour.
The continuous rain and wind throughout last night has created some scattered power outages and school opening delays.
American Electric Power reports that customers are without power in scattered areas of Stark County as a result of the incessant wind gusts overnight. Power has been restored to all customers in Tuscarawas and Holmes Counties.
Also, some area schools have either closed or were on a delay this morning.
