Born on September 6, 1930 in Strasburg, Frances was the daughter of the late Ervin Hanni and Helen (Saam) and stepfather Robert “Pops” Soley.
In 1949, graduated from Dover High School. She spent her entire life in the area, was a restaurant cook at the New Philadelphia Elks and a member of the First Moravian Church at Uhrichsville. Frances was a member of the Women’s Fellowship and also a Girl Scout Leader.
Frances is survived by her children Carol (Jeff) Colaiacovo of Panama City, Florida, Bob (Mary) Wallace of New Philadelphia, Bill Wallace of Deersville and Peggi (companion Jeff Stucky) Destefani of New Philadelphia; 1 sister Ruth (Earl) Ott of New Philadelphia; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Hazel Wallace of Pickerington and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Wallace, whom she married on May 19, 1950 at the St. John’s UCC of Dover, and who passed away on April 18, 2002.
Funeral services for Frances will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville with the Rev. William Surber officiating. Burial will follow at the Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery at Gnadenhutten.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
