He was a 1962 Newcomerstown High School graduate. He did auto body work, and also worked for Oxford Twp in Tuscarawas Co. as a road operator for 20 years and was a trustee for 6 years. He enjoyed dirt track racing.
On December 19, 1984, he married Ellen (Groff) Patrick who survives. He is also survived by four
children, Randy Patrick and wife Beth of Newcomerstown, Lisa Esmond and husband John of Dublin, William Moreland of West Lafayette, and Wanda Wiggins and husband Jim of Fresno; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Januzski and husband Ron of
Clenden, WV, Bonnie Affolter of West Lafayette, Joyce of Florida; three brothers, Clare Taylor and wife Jean of West Lafayette, Charles Taylor and wife Delores of Newcomerstown, Dean Taylor and wife Kay of Newcomerstown.
He was preceded in death by special aunt and uncle Ernest and Mazel Taylor who had raised him.
