Louise Worsham, Executive Director of Tuscarawas County Council for Church and Community
(T-4-C), says this year’s Share-A-Christmas program is off to a great start.
She says dozens of community members representing various schools, churches, businesses and other groups are working to raise money or collect food, new toys and books for local families who are going through hard times.
Worsham says one of the planned events is the “Holiday Hoopla” this Saturday from noon to 3 pm at the Tuscora Park Pavilion.
She says this year’s “Hoopla” is a “Sandwich War”.
Worsham also wants to remind the community that food donations are due in just a few weeks.
Worsham says it takes many volunteers from all across the county to help make the Share-A-Christmas program a success each year.
In addition to the food and toy drives, Worsham says they’re also trying to raise $150,000.
